Felda Health Fitness & Spa and Setanta Triathlon Club held their annual 10 K road race and fun run on Saturday the 16th of May. 65 competitors braved the blustery conditions and considering the wind and rain a number of personal bests were also recorded. Local interest was plain to see as Eamonn McEneaney and Orla McAdam showed up to lend their support and Orla even took part being a keen Tri-Athlete with Felda and Setanta. The best of the best included top 3 male runners, Ugis Karasevs 35:10, Liam Dolan 35:15 and Brian McCloskey 35:43. Top 3 female runners, Helen White 40:03, Breda Dawe 44:05 and Annette Dawe 44:13. Plenty of running veterans also participated on the day with the top placings for our 40+ athletes going to, Malachy McAteer 36:13, George Shields 37:18, Johnny McCabe 38:16, Siobhan Shields 51:49 and Fiona Henry 52:46. Felda & Setanta would like to thank all competitors, marshal's, local Gardai and ambulance crew for making the event a great success. All proceeds raised went to support the North Louth Hospice.
