clermount_choraleAward-winning choir Clermont Chorale takes to the stage in Carlingford Heritage Centre next Sunday, 13th December at 4.00 pm, for a concert of popular and Christmas music. The choir will be joined by Clermont Minor, the junior choir which includes children from 8 to 14, drawn from many schools in North Louth.

"I am very excited about the programme we have put together for this concert", says music director Ronan Dennedy. "We have included music by Rogers & Hart, Alison Krauss, James Taylor and the Beatles in addition to wonderful arrangements of folksongs, such as Shenandoah and Loch Lomond".

Both choirs will also present Christmas songs, both old and new, from Ireland, England, Canada and Germany in addition to Clermont Chorale's spirited performances of American Spirituals arranged by the late, great Moses Hogan.

"We have wonderful instrumentalists performing as well, including Mark Nutely on tuba and Debbie Armstrong on piano" says Ronan.

Clermont Chorale will also be launching its first CD, which is a compilation of live recordings by the choir over the past 4 years.

Tickets are €12 each, with a concession price of €8 and are available from Carlingford Heritage Centre. The phone no is 042 9373888.
