THE FLAG OF BLACKROCK

The flag of Blackrock was hoisted for the first time in 2008, and is based on designs from the children of St. Oliver Plunkett’s National School.  Four possible designs were put to a plebicite in the village, with a clear majority favouring the eventual winner. The flag depicts the sea, the sun and the Sundial – the images which, it was decided, best represent Blackrock. Right click on the image to save a copy.
