Blackrock has won the Overall Award in the 2021 “Louth Looking Good” competition organised by Louth Tidy Towns Together and sponsored by Connect Credit Union. Dromiskin came second and Monasterboice third. Blackrock also received a Gold Award in the Litter League as well as a Biodiversity Award and an award for the presentation of Haggardstown Old Graveyard. Six businesses received shopfront awards, and St Fursey’s Terrace was awarded a housing estate prize.
