BLACKROCK RUNNER-UP IN 2021 IBP PRIDE OF PLACE COMPETITION

BLACKROCK WINS “LOUTH LOOKING GOOD” 2021 OVERALL AWARD

Blackrock has won the Overall Award in the 2021 “Louth Looking Good” competition organised by Louth Tidy Towns Together and sponsored by Connect Credit Union.  Dromiskin came second and Monasterboice third.  Blackrock also received a Gold Award in the Litter League as well as a Biodiversity Award and an award for the presentation of Haggardstown

BLACKROCK IS LOUTH’S TIDIEST TOWN

At the SuperValu National Tidy Towns Awards held in the RDS on 12th November 2021, Blackrock was named as Louth’s Tidiest Town, and received its 6th Gold Medal.  The village was one of two shortlisted for the title of Ireland’s Tidiest Small Town, and ended up just two points behind the Overall Winner Ennis.
