On Monday 29th May 2023 “Nationwide” visited Blackrock to feature the work done by Blackrock Tidy Towns over many years to bring the village into the top tier of performers in the National Tidy Towns competition. Anne Cassin and the Nationwide
film crew spent most of the day in the village and visited Main Street and Blackrock Park as well as a number of other locations. They interviewed Blackrock Tidy Towns chairperson John Horan, Richard Martin from the Blackrock Park Committee, Clodagh Shine Climate Ambassador, Jason McGee of VisitBlackrock, and Dr. Suzanne Linnane and the children from St. Oliver Plunkett’s school. The programme is to be aired on Friday, June 16th.
