A cycle from Blackrock Village in Louth to Ballina in Mayo will take place this Wednesday 21st September 2016 in aid of the Tony Golden Trust. Garda Golden who lived in the Blackrock Village was tragically killed in the line of duty on 11th October 2015 while attending a call in Omeath. On the first day cyclists will travel from Louth to Drumshambo in Leitrim which is journey of 140kms. Day two will see the group travel to Ballina on the 100km leg. The fund was setup to support a college fund for his three children and there are 66 cyclists taking part in the event.
